Open Garden Day - Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12th, 2024 - 10 AM to 12 PM

Mill Pond Garden opens for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12 from 10 AM to Noon,  to celebrate with the most luxuriant amount of bloom and magnificence of the entire garden year. In bloom will be scores of azaleas, scores of rhododendrons, wisterias, many kinds of clematis, many kinds of iris, native pitcher plants, roses, and especially the huge climbing fragrant old Bourbon rose Zephrine Drouhin (thornless!), giant purple alliums, Forever Susan Lilies, ground orchids, native woodland phlox, hibiscus, and so much more, with eight water features of fountains, stream, and ponds, all on huge Red Mill Pond’s bank, with nearly a half mile of woodland and open pathways through various beautifully landscaped garden rooms.  You will want to bring your camera and Mom!  Mill Pond Garden is the Cape region’s only local professional public botanical garden which welcomes your support, the gem in the crown of the region’s beautiful outdoor attractions.
